Our Story
Master D. Straga, an eighth degree Black Belt, has trained under some of the greatest Tang Soo Do Masters in the world. Master Straga began teaching Martial Arts in the Atlantic County area in 1977. Having taught thousands of students, producing Masters and hundreds of Black Belts, today Master Straga's Tang Soo Do Academy is one of the largest and most successful in the nation. He is highly respected among his competitors for his dedication, character, honor and will to uphold a higher standard of teaching.
Furthermore, Master Straga has founded and co-founded many philanthropic events during the past 40 years through International Tournaments and Demonstrations. All proceeds made by these events go directly toward the American Cancer Society, Muscular Dystrophy, and various New Jersey Police Departments .
For over 40 years, Master D. Straga's Tang Soo Karate Academy has been dedicated to changing lives for the better. Using martial arts as a vehicle, this program develops strong will, self-motivation and many other tools necessary to combat any negative influence throughout your life.
